North Thoresby, Grainsby & Waithe Parish Council – Community Room Announcement
We are delighted to share some fantastic news! On Wednesday 13th August, we received confirmation that our application to the UKSPF GRASSroots Grant Fund has been successful. We have been awarded £16,882.22 to refurbish the former Village Hall Committee Room, which was previously closed due to fire safety concerns.
This funding will allow us to transform the space into a modern, welcoming community room for everyone to enjoy. Planned improvements include:
• Replacing three existing windows with fire doors
• Installing a brand-new heating system
• Building a 35m² patio area with new benches
• Fully insulating and plastering the room
• Redecorating throughout
• Adding new external storage facilities
As part of the grant conditions, the project will be completed by Christmas – so it’s all systems go!
We’d love to hear your ideas for how the new Community Room should look and feel. We’ll also be looking for volunteers to help bring this exciting project to life.
