Grimsby to Walpole: Community Update - Please Share with Residents

Thank you to everyone who took part in our Stage 2 consultation on Grimsby to Walpole between 11 June and 6 August 2025.

Our proposals will connect more home-grown British energy to homes, businesses and public services, helping to make our energy supply more secure and over time, lower bills.

Now that Stage 2 consultation has concluded, our team is:

  • reviewing your feedback and continuing environmental, heritage and habitat surveys
  • working closely with local stakeholders, including people with a legal interest in the land and environmental organisations
  • preparing a targeted consultation for Weston Marsh, where we’ll share detailed proposals for that area
  • getting ready to submit our development consent order (DCO) application, which will include a Consultation Report showing how your feedback has shaped the design. We expect to submit this in summer 2027.

Please find attached the latest community bulletin. We’d be grateful if you could help share it with local residents by posting it on your parish website and social media pages.

To support this, we’ve also sent an A3 printed copy of the bulletin by post for display on your parish noticeboard.

If councillors or residents have any questions, please encourage them to get in touch using the contact details in the bulletin.

If you require additional copies, an A4 version, or accessible formats such as large print, please let us know and we can provide these.

Thank you for helping us keep the community informed.

Best wishes

The Grimsby to Walpole Community Engagement Team
