https://publicaccess.e-lindsey.gov.uk/online-applications/applicationDetails.do?activeTab=summary&keyVal=_EASTL_DCAPR_135599
RESOLVED: Council recommends refusal on the following grounds. Comments below were previously submitted against application N/133/01584/20.
“With reference to the above proposed change of use to Stanholme Cottage. The Parish Council would like to make the following comments for consideration.
At the present time the property has granted holiday let and surprised that this is not in demand. We are in an area of outstanding beauty close to the Wolds popular for walkers and visitors of all ages, close to main attractions such as Lincoln and the Seaside of Cleethorpes to name but a few.
This property has had ongoing applications of change over the years, and have concerns as to any future applications.
The Parish Council have concerns regarding the possible flood risks to the property and our previous comments still stand.
Regarding access to the property via Stanholme Lane is access not right of way, it is a public footpath and regularly used by walkers, dog walkers and horses. The history we understand was to move cattle from the fields along the lane. In more recent times the hedgerows have been cut down to widen the lane for vehicular access to the whole of Stanholme Lane. To use the lane for constant residential use would cause erosion of the surface a small unmade lane. Therefore this access should be limited regardless of the outcome, as the preferred option of access should be via A16.
North Thoresby Parish council therefore object to the change of use from holiday let to residential.”
c) N/133/00274/22
Decision Notice: Permission granted
