MOP asked if a leaflet holder could be attached to the Free Little Library

MOP a) Request for any information on flooding issues on Station Road

          b) Fire risk on Station Road with crops to rear of Station Road and the running of the Steam Railway

          c) Has the council updated the North Thoresby Emergency Action Plan

          d) Concerns over recycling and plastics going to landfill

MOP answered questions concerning plastics going into landfill

      Cllr Aldridge gave a brief update on planning applications/planning policy and updated the council on the pylon situation.

  3. ) Planning application no. 02546/25/FUL Extension and alteration to existing dwelling to provide additional living accommodation

Resolved. Council accepted the extension in principle however voted to object to the planning application due to the extension and original building being rendered

  • 02597/25/ESR Environmental Impact Assessment. Land North of High Street North Thoresby.

Resolved. Council to request further information.

Resolved. Council approved clerk to write to the external auditor explaining the delay

    1. To update the council on the vacancy for clerk/RFO

Council confirmed the had interviewed an experienced clerk.

Resolved. Council voted to employ the new clerk/RFO who had been interviewed prior to the meeting.

  1. Village Hall Matters: 81.25

a)For the council to consider a grant application for the community room refurbishment

 Noted. Cllr. Goodwin informed the council a grant application had been submitted to UKSPF GRASSroots Grants for £16,882.22.

b) For the council to consider the disposal of the old piano.

Resolved. Council voted to advertise the piano on social media free to good home

c) For the council to consider the disposal of the redundant A frames

Noted. Donated to events committee

d) To consider the Christmas tree for 2025

  1. ) For the council to note the purchase of new benches for the play park.

Noted. Cllr Goodwin updated the council, 2 benches have already been delivered with 4 more in production.

  • For the council to consider a letter received from Cyden Homes

Noted. North Thoresby History Group have supplied Cyden Homes with a list of proposed streetnames for consideration.

  • For the council to consider the Cyden homes development on the Beanlands site.

Resolved. Council voted for Cllr Goodwin to liaise with Cyden Homes, ELDC planning and Highway Regarding the Beanlands development. Clerk to send a letter to Cyden Homes outlining questions raised in the meeting and inviting them to a parish council meeting.

  • Update on the overgrown trees in Mulberry Close.

Noted. The trees belong to Platform Home.
